Sinhali — Modern Indian Couture

Born from the spirit of strength and grace.

A celebration of the modern Indian woman — powerful in presence, rooted in heritage, and timeless in elegance.

Founded by Riya Nahar, Sinhali draws its essence from the meaning behind its name — "daughter of a lion" — symbolising courage, femininity, and quiet power.

What began as a personal dream evolved into a label that honours Indian craftsmanship through a refined contemporary lens. Each creation is thoughtfully handcrafted using pure fabrics and artisanal techniques — zardozi, aari, pitta, pearl embellishment, sequins, and delicate surface ornamentation.

Our collections are not created for fleeting trends, but for women who seek timeless pieces that evoke confidence, individuality, and understated luxury.

Sinhali is not merely worn. It is experienced.

Every Sinhali piece travels through dozens of hands before it reaches yours — weavers who have inherited their craft over generations, dyers who know each colour by touch, embroiderers who work in silence and precision.

Inspired by India's richest textile traditions and reimagined with fluid silhouettes and modern sophistication, every piece is designed to feel both regal and effortless.

From ethereal sarees to couture lehengas, Sinhali embodies a world where heritage meets refinement — where every thread tells a story of elegance, artistry, and strength.

Founder's Note — Riya Nahar
The courtyards of my childhood shaped my love for craft.

Rooted in Bagh, Madhya Pradesh, I grew up surrounded by the beauty of hand-block printing and timeless Bagh prints. From Rajasthan, I inherited a deep appreciation for traditional crafts — gotta patti, marodi, and zardozi — where every stitch carries history, care, and soul.

These memories shape Sinhali — a vision of luxury that is personal and powerful. Every drape tells a story, every embroidery reflects an artisan's hand, and every silhouette embodies strength wrapped in elegance.

Sinhali is not just fashion. It is an emotion.

Craft

Each piece is handcrafted by artisans across India — weavers, embroiderers, and dyers who have inherited generations of skill. We do not rush the process. That is the point.

02

Heritage

Rooted in India's richest textile traditions — zardozi, aari, pitta, cutdana — reimagined through a contemporary lens. Made for today's woman without forgetting where it all began.

03

Intention

Every Sinhali creation is made to order — never mass produced. Each garment is an individual expression, crafted with care and finished with precision. Made to be treasured.
